In the spring of 2013, I had the opportunity to design the early technical documents for The Mister. The product is a true invention, something never before seen on the market, so writing the documentation which would explain it to the consumer was a fun challenge. The Mister went on to become a successful Kickstarter campaign in December 2014, receiving 3 times its necessary funding. Exciting stuff!
As the product took off, the company approached me again about updates. They had created a new, more modern logo and wanted their documentation to match.
I designed the user manual with an aesthetic to match the new logo. I was provided copy and asked to edit it into shape — something which, based on the last time, they knew I was good at. I love projects like these because of all the details. It’s rewarding to get them perfect.
